It was the early aughts 2011-2012 and i was busking on a cornet more like goofing cause im a sax player.  But the delmar loop in st. Louis was emmmmp teeeeey.  Not a soul a wandering copcar now and then.   So it was dream like but i saw this real cute womam in her 20-30s and she got a guitar case and she was following after a short stern bearded man carrying a small amp.  I stopped playing my dirge of motens swing all gutter style.  And gestured a hello cause he seemed pretty hot headed.  My guess is some plans or expectations had fell thru .  But he stormed on by. She seemed concerned.  It was surreal. I think they were a good quarter of a city block past the vintage vinyl when my addled brain thought it was woody guthrie you know the banjo skin that says fhis banjo ends fascism.   Yelled hey woody come on back and lets jam this land is your landl. I saw him break his cadence but he kept on.  He  passed a few years later.  Wish i had it more together but i was losing to lyme morgellons.  It could of been a real far out seen jamming little boxes or nelly was a lady stephen foster.    Shoot.  .
